Nepeta deflersiana Schweinf. ex Hedge
Woody-based aromatic perennial herb with many erect, usually simple stems from the base, up to c. 50 ( 80) cm tall. Leaves shortly petiolate, lamina triangular-ovate, up to c. 4 x 1-2 (3) cm regularly crenate dentate, grey-tomentose beneath, truncate-cordate at base, obtuse or acute. Verticillasters in lax spikes, floral leaves leaf-like below, gradually becoming smaller towards the top; bracteoles setaceous, blue, smaller than calyces, white floccose. Calyx c. 6.5 mm long, white-floccose, blue, tubular, ± expanded and curved downwards at mouth; teeth triangular, acute. Corolla blue, c. 10 mm long, tube expanded above the calyx; upper lip bilobed, lower much longer than the upper, spreading. Nutlets c. 1.5 x 1 mm, dark brown, minutely tuberculate.
