An erect, softly and densely pubescent, branched, up to 2 m tall, perennial herb. Petiole 5-12 cm long leaves broadly ovate, entire or sinuate, acute, densley hairy, 18 x 10 cm. Pedicel 1-2 cm long, slightly enlarging in fruit. Calyx tubular, teeth acuminate, 1-2 cm long; tube up to 10 cm long. falling off in fruit, lerving 1-2 cm long basal collar. Corolla white, 15-20 cm long, +- 8 cm across, the limb with 5 large and 5 alternating amaller lobes Stamens 10-15 cm long . Capsule 3.5-5 cm across globose, glandular hairy. drooning, spines 0.8-1.2 cm long Seeds brownish, rugose, kidney-shaped, 3-4 x2-3 mm.
