Appressed-canescent, intricately much-branched, woody, low shrublet up to 30 (50) cm tall. Leaves
obovate to spathulate, long-tapering to base, repand, entire to irregularly dentate or lobed. Heads discoid,
flat, golden yellow on short thick peduncles, c. 3 cm across. Outer involucral bracts leaf-like, reflexed,
inner involucral bracts acute, sharp. Floral bracts linear, rigid, narrowly spathulate ending in a sharp point.
Achenes 4-angled, c. 2 mm long. Pappus none.
Saudi Arabia : Patchily widespread in runnels.
Distribution: Egypt, Palestine, Arabia, Iran.
